As parents we try hard to make sure our children have the tools and skills needed to compete in this competitive world, and traditional schooling is not enough. As a parent myself, I was limited to resources that would have benefited my children greatly. Exposing your child to options early in life will help make the difference in their future. Xplore Your Options will give both you and your child life skills and options that can be put to use immediately. Xplore Your Options will help you tackle the challenging issues that face teens and parents of teens today. So....what is Xplore Your Options? |
Xplore Your OptionsXplore Your Options, a program designed for teens ages 13 through 19 that guides teens to be whoever they want to be in life.
The intent of this program is to get teens to think about their future while giving parents tools to connect with their teens. Xplore Your Options will expose teens to a caveat of possibilities in an effort to guide them to the path of their dreams. Students will xplore topics like manners, etiquette, sexuality, bullying, career planning and preparation for life after high school. Topics that affect our teens daily. Our goal is to help gear parents and students towards the right choices for success. One of the ways we do this is by building healthy self-esteem and social skills. Why? Because we believe that decision making skills can be improved with the enhancement of self-esteem, a “can-do” spirit, and exposure to options. We accomplish this through interactive activities and peer group discussions. The program culminates in the Options Ball, where each child will practice their newly learned skills, be recognized for their achievements, and have a moment to shine! |
